Maliha Jabeen Khan What do you assume about the hijab? at TEDxRegina 2024
Written by Muslim Canadian TED TalksIn 2024, Maliha Jabeen Khan spoke at TEDxRegina in Regina, Saskatchewan.
Did you know that people form opinions within the first 7 seconds of meeting you?
This TEDx talk challenges the stereotypical opinions the world has formed around a woman wearing a hijab.
Maliha calls for critical consumption of the media for a deeper understanding of the true essence of the hijab while shedding light on the unjust hijab bans worldwide.
We must see “Beyond the Fabric” for the hijab is more than just a piece of fabric and a Muslim woman is more than what she wears.
