The Jaffari Community Centre responds to a threat on November 16, 2023
Written by ISIJ of TorontoVaughan, ON, Nov 17, 2023 — The Islamic Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat (ISIJ) of Toronto responded to a security threat at one of its centres, the Jaffari Community Centre at 9000 Bathurst Street in the City of Vaughan, on November 16, 2023, at 9:15 p.m.
York Regional Police (YRP) arrived at the Jaffari Community Centre, evacuated the building and checked the area. While no threat was found and the property was deemed secure, they remain in the area and are continuing with the investigation.
The ISIJ of Toronto takes all security threats seriously and is actively monitoring the situation. The safety and protection of our community members remains a top priority.
