Support Newcomer Children with Disabilities through SMILE Canada
Imagine being evicted because of your child’s disability, unable to understand the eviction notice. Or picture a mother, struggling to explain to a doctor that her son lost his legs after being trapped under rubble. These aren't just stories. This is the reality for families in our community, and you can help change it.
At SMILE Canada, we bridge the gaps left by public services, offering essential support to families that government programs do not provide.
Newcomer children with disabilities face major barriers when arriving in Canada, including language, limited access to critical disability resources and adapting to a new environment. They often struggle to navigate public services like housing, healthcare, and education, which frequently lack culturally responsive support.
Currently, SMILE is supporting families displaced by war and poverty from countries like Syria, Sudan, Palestine, and Afghanistan
SMILE offers:
Hospital Support: Comprehensive care and financial support for children with long-term or frequent hospital stay.
Financial Assistance for Pediatric Disability Services: Helping cover costs for therapies, adaptive equipment, and respite care.
Our support ensures these children are no longer isolated, but rather included in society with the same opportunities as others. But we need your donation to make this possible.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 by December 31st to fund essential programs for children living right here in our community—children living next to us who need our support. Make a difference today because this is A Journey Together.
Tax Receipts will be issued on all Donations
