Montreal, October 24, 2024 In a letter sent today to Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc, Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) urges the Canadian government to retract the inclusion of Samidoun (Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network) from the Public Safety Canada terrorist entities list.
OTTAWA, ON, Oct. 15, 2024 Today, the Honourable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Public Safety, Democratic Institutions and Intergovernmental Affairs, announced that the Government of Canada has listed Samidoun, also known as the Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, as a terrorist entity under the Criminal Code. The listing is in concert with U.S. Department of the Treasury's announcement of the designation of Samidoun as a specially designated global terrorist (SDGT) though its Executive Order (E.O.) 13224.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, the Canadian government placed the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network on Canada’s terrorist entities list.
