Join Massy Arts and Mycelium on October 10 at 6 PM at Massy Arts Society, for an evening of community and solidarity. We'll be buying and sending eSIMS to Palestinians, screen printing, making posters, crafting buttons, and sharing snacks! This event is for queer and trans youth 16 to 29.
? Why eSIMS?
eSIMs help keep Palestinians connected until stable internet is restored in Gaza. At this event, we'll be supporting the Crips for eSIMs for Gaza project, a collective effort with over 120 volunteers and 10,000 donors who have raised more than $1 million and sent 8,158 eSIMs to Palestinians. Whether you're new to this initiative or already involved, you're welcome to join us! We'll guide you step-by-step through the process of buying and sending eSIMs.
? What You Need to Know
- Cost: This event is free for participants. eSIM purchases are funded by Crips for eSIMs for Gaza (learn more at @pipapaopoetry on IG). You can make purchases through their Nomad Enterprise account or be reimbursed by the project on the day of the event.
- Already part of the project? Love it! Come connect with fellow volunteers and enjoy some snacks while we buy eSIMs together.
- What to bring: Your own devices (iPhone/iOS preferred, laptop, tablet, etc.). If you need access to a device, please let us know at least one week in advance by emailing myccoordinator@youthco.org. No devices needed for the Art Build, but bring your own totes, shirts, and other items if you want to screen-print!
The Art Build: Get creative with button-making, banner crafting, and poster painting! We’ll also have screen printing available—bring your shirts, fabric, or other items to customize.

Safety Guidelines & Community Values
This event centers the safety, voices, and experiences of Palestinians. Before attending, please read through Massy Art Society's Community Care Guidelines. In line with their Anti-Harassment Policy, any form of harassment—including sexual, physical, or verbal harassment—is strictly unacceptable. Mycelium and Massy Art Society staff will be on site to ensure these guidelines are upheld. Staff will engage with any guests who do not adhere to the Community Care Guidelines, and if the behavior continues, those guests will be asked to leave. We appreciate everyone’s commitment to caring for our community.
? Mycelium ?
Mycelium is space for queer & trans youth 16-29 across what is currently known as BC, where we gather to center healing, pleasure, and justice in our lives as we envision and create a world liberated from HIV & Hep C stigma.
We are committed to reducing stigma related to HIV & Hep C and to building communities where we feel safe talking about the highs and lows of sex, drugs, relationships and all the things that bring us pleasure.
Land Acknowledgement
This event is held on the unceded, stolen ancestral lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Nations. Solidarity with Palestinians is part of our broader commitment to resisting all forms of colonization and oppression. This event is one way we move toward collective liberation, including Indigenous sovereignty, queer liberation, and disability justice.
Mycelium events take place on traditional, unceded territories of various First Nations in what is now colonially referred to as ‘British Columbia’. We hold this fact in our hearts and actions throughout our work at Mycelium. Our team is committed to an ongoing process of learning what it means to do work on this land in a way that brings us closer to Indigenous Sovereignty. Mycelium offers online and in person programs organized by coordinators based on the traditional, unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil Waututh), xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), S’ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Qayqayt, Stz’uminus, Lheidli T'enneh, and Dakehl Keyoh.
