ISNA Canada Wood Burning Art Classes

ISNA Canada is excited to host unique Wood Burning Art Classes! Learn the art of Wood Burning from an experienced Wood Burning Artist, Myra Farooq! Join us to learn the simple & fun techniques to create custom wood art!

Class Breakdown: 

1) Intro to Woodburning: 2 hours on small-medium wood rounds, learning basic shading, lettering (English & Arabic), and pen tips.
2) Technique Practice: 2 hours working on a 5-inch round to refine skills, with a demo on troubleshooting common mistakes.
3) Large Wood Sign – Part 1: 2 hours for planning and sketching on a large (8-12 inch) piece.
4) Large Wood Sign – Part 2: 2 hours for shading, finishing, and adding an optional hook to complete the large piece.

No artistic experience required--traceable templates will be provided. Limited spots available!

Date: Monday January 20th, Monday January 27th, Monday February 3rd, and Monday February 10th
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (with breaks for prayer)
Location: ISNA Canada (2200 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga ON L5J 2M4) - Education Center 
Price: $125.00 (for all four classes) 

Please Note: this workshop is reserved for ages 15 years and up. Unfortunately, no children are allowed in the space due to the nature of the workshop. All registrations are final, no refunds will be provided.
