Darul Qur'an Institute of Islamic Studies was established in the winter of 2006 with Molana Oves teaching two students. It now has a staff of three with approximately 200 students. Classes are taught 5 days a week, Mondays to Fridays.There are two class timings: the first being from 3:30 to 6:00 and the second being from 6:30 to 8:30. Molana Oves and Molana Anees are the administrators of the Madrasah and are the teachers of the boys. They have studied Islam extensively throughout the world. Their quest for knowledge has taken them to Darul-Ulooms, Islamic Seminaries in the U.S., Canada, India, England and Egypt. Muallimah Siddika is the teacher of the girls and has studied Islam in Muslim schools of South Africa. The staff have more than 20 years of teaching experience between them. The students are taught to read the Qur'an with proper recitation and with Tajweed, memorization of Soorahs from the Qur'an, the life of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, Tahaarah and many other Islamic subjects. The students are also taught how to deliver speeches and how to lead the five daily Salah and Taraweeh Salah. Molana Oves and Molana Anees also specialize in teaching and training students to memorize the entire Qur'an. With the blessings of Allah a Hafidh-ul-Qur'an graduated from the Madrasah last year. There are many students of the Madrasah who have memorized 5, 10, 15 and even 20 parts of the Qur'an and insha'Allah, soon many students will complete the memorization of the Qur'an and be a source of blessings for the community.
