The Rev. Dr. Robert Oliphant, was first elected to the House of Commons in the 2008 General Election. He was elected again in 2015 to represent the people of Don Valley West. Rob served as the Official Opposition Critic for Veterans Affairs and for Multiculturalism during the 40th Parliament. Rob has worked in a variety of positions in business, government, church and community. Prior to his election, Rob worked as an accountant in the steel industry, was a senior advisor in the Office of the Premier of Ontario and is an Ordained Minister, having held senior positions in the United Church of Canada. Between his electoral victories, Rob served as the President and CEO of the Asthma Society of Canada. In this role he became a champion for health and the environment, refocusing the Society to address the effects of the environment, particularly climate change, on human health, while building its reputation as a health charity and patient advocacy group. Rob is a trusted and experienced champion for all the residents of Don Valley West and will work tirelessly to represent them in the House of Commons. Facebook
