Majid Jowhari believes in strengthening our community and our country through collaboration, consultation, and mutual respect. He firmly believes that open and transparent government is at the core of Canadian values. Born in Iran and immigrant to Canada at age 18, Majid quickly learned the importance of hard work and the promise of a better life. He earned degrees in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration before pursuing a career in business and management consulting. His experience as a Professional Engineer, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Management Consultant enabled him to work at the front line of business innovation. Extensive international travel developed in him a deep appreciation of global diversity. Most recently, he spent over 7 years as owner, CEO, and managing director of his own management consulting firm. Elected to the House of Commons in 2015, Majid is proud to bring a unique perspective to our most important debates. In addition to his work in the House chamber, he is a member of the House Standing Committee on Industry, Science, and Technology.
