I have over 13 years experience working as a Registered Massage Therapist in the Ottawa area in a home based clinic with a private entrance ensuring complete privacy for women and children. My practice also includes treating males. My passion for learning and helping people has lead me to take further studies including cranial sacral therapy, myofascial release techniques, muscle energy, temporal mandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ) techniques and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner studies. I am currently writing my thesis to complete the last requirement of my Osteopathy Manual Practitioner Designation. I have worked as a Clinic Supervisor and Instructor for the Massage Therapy Program at the local college. My volunteer work has included acting leader for the Girl Guides of Canada and providing massage therapy at Roger’s House. Together with my training as a massage therapist, a yoga instructor and osteopathic techniques, I am able to develop an effective treatment plan for my clients whether for relaxation or maintenance or for an injury. I assess the body as a whole and combine different techniques to effectively treat and facilitate balanced body biomechanics which has led to successful treatments of numerous conditions including repetitive overuse syndromes, back pain, posture related pain and imbalances, neck and shoulder pain, headaches, motor vehicle accident injuries, and pregnancy related changes to the body. I believe that the client plays an important and active role in their healing process and I will make recommendations including stretching and strengthening specific muscles between massage therapy appointments. For any information or if you have any questions feel free to contact me. Thank you!
