Welcome to the official Facebook page for the University of Ottawa Student Association of Bangladesh (UOSAB)! Though one of the smallest countries on the world map, Bangladesh is known for its majestic landscapes, its rich culture and the warmth of its people. Staying true to that spirit, the University of Ottawa Student Association of Bangladesh was established with the purpose of promoting Bangladeshi culture throughout the University of Ottawa by arranging various events and activities for Bangladeshi and non-Bangladeshi students alike and by serving as a common hub for Bangladeshi students, staff and alumni on campus. Furthermore, in accordance with its philosophy of supporting the wider Bangladeshi-Canadian community, UOSAB seeks to facilitate the orientation of new Bangladeshi students at the University of Ottawa as well as to provide assistance and support to organizations looking to uplift Bangladeshi culture, values and traditions. N.B: UOSAB promotes tolerance, respect and peaceful interaction amongst all its members, Bangladeshi and non-Bangladeshi alike. We will not tolerate any form of discrimination based on gender, racial or ethnic origin, religion, nationality, socio-economic status, sexual orientation and/or physical or mental disability. No form of cyber bullying will be accepted. Moreover, UOSAB would like to remind its members that we are a politically and religiously neutral organization
