National Zakat Foundation (NZF) is a registered Canadian charity working to establish the pillar of Zakat in Canada. For over 8 years, National Zakat Foundation has helped and supported more than 15,000 people across 120 cities, with financial and non-financial services, in an effort to empower the community. NZF’s mission is to bring Zakat to all Muslims across the nation, servicing both payers and recipients alike. This is accomplished through education, calculation, collection and distribution of Zakat locally.

NZF’s strives to be the premier Zakat institution working to establish a selfless and self-sufficient Canadian Muslim community, where no individual in need is left abandoned. National Zakat Foundation distributes Zakat and Sadaqah across Canada to all those in need, especially those who are refugees, newcomers, elderly, single parents, persons with disabilities, converts, and the homeless.

NZF offers its services through personal casework management, financial assistance, food delivery, and housing support. In addition NZF provides Zakat education and calculation services to empower Muslims with the knowledge of Zakat, ensuring everyone is fulfil the obligation of Zakat on time and with accuracy.
