McMaster Iranian Student Association (MISA)

McMaster Iranian Student Association (MISA) was first established in September 2013. We originally started off as the Bahar Dance Group, representing various Iranian folk and cultural dances such as Gilaki, Bandari, Ghajar, Babakaram, and Azari.

On the side, we also organized different cultural events such as poetry nights, movie nights, choir band, other musical activities, and outside campus events.

In September 2016 we became the McMaster Iranian Student Association you know today! We introduced more cultural activities for both undergraduate and graduate students, and have since worked to further promote Iranian culture on campus.
