Mansour Shouman has gone missing. It is believed he was abducted by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). He regularly reported what was on the siege of Gaza thorugh his social media and was regularly interviewed by English language meeting about what life was like on the ground for Gazan civilians. 

Since fighting broke out in April 2023, members of the Sudanese Canadian communities have been calling on the federal government to take action to help civilians trapped in Sudan by the ongoing fight between the Sudanese armed forces and the powerful Rapid Support Forces paramilitary group (RSF).
