Justice for Palestinians Calgary (JFP) extends heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and volunteers who joined us at our rally and march today.

Your solidarity is critical as we collectively address the ongoing genocide in Palestine and provide a platform for diverse voices to share their impactful stories.

Today's march was a resounding success, with over 4,000 members of the Calgary community shutting down the streets to have their voices heard. It officially concluded at City Hall with an empowering open mic event.

.

Following the march's official conclusion, a separate group of protesters continued with a separate march. JFP received reports that these protesters were kettled by the police, and there were allegations of police misconduct. In response to these concerning developments, several members of JFP promptly attended the scene to monitor and engage in de-escalation efforts.

We are dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all individuals exercising their right to peaceful protest. JFP urgently appeals to anyone with video evidence of police misconduct to please email it to the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) at This email address is being protected from spambots. As we release this statement, we express collective anger at the ongoing genocide in Gaza and issue an urgent call for an immediate ceasefire. Thank you for your continued support as we advocate for justice and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

In solidarity,

Justice for Palestinians Calgary
